A fun and delicious twist on a classic dessert, combining apple pie flavors with taco-shaped shells.
Ingredients
- 8 pieces Street Taco Flour Tortillas
- â…“ cup Salted Butter, melted
- ¾ cup Finely Crushed Vanilla Wafer Crumbs
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 20 oz Canned Apple Pie Filling
- ¼ cup Heavy Cream
- Whipped Cream (Optional)
- Caramel Sauce (Optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brush both sides of the tortillas with melted butter.
- In a bowl, mix the crushed vanilla wafer crumbs and ground cinnamon.
- Dip each tortilla in the crumb mixture to coat them nicely.
- Shape the tortillas into taco-like shells by bending them slightly and placing them on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven for about 10-12 minutes until they are golden and crisp.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Stuff each taco shell with the apple pie filling.
- Drizzle with heavy cream and top with whipped cream and caramel sauce if desired.
Notes
Store taco shells and filling separately for best results. Reheat taco shells before filling.
