Ingredients
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2-3 cups mix-ins (chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruits)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, fully incorporating each before moving on.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in your choice of mix-ins carefully.
- Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden on the edges.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
