Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, sugar, milk, melted butter, and eggs until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  5. Fill the donut pan evenly with the batter.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth and drizzle over the cooled donuts.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute almond milk and coconut oil. For gluten-free donuts, use a gluten-free flour blend.
