Ingredients
- 1 lb peeled and deveined shrimp
- 1/2 cup panko
- 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- Hoagie rolls
- Slices of provolone or fresh mozzarella
- Lemon for squeezing
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Coat shrimp in a mix of panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil.
- Arrange shrimp on a wire rack set over a rimmed baking sheet.
- Roast shrimp for 8–10 minutes until opaque and just firm.
- Warm marinara sauce in a small skillet.
- Toast the hoagie rolls.
- Assemble the sandwiches with shrimp, marinara, cheese, lemon, and basil.
- Broil for 1–2 minutes to melt the cheese.
Notes
Use a wire rack for crispiness and pat shrimp dry before coating to avoid sogginess.
