Description

A comforting and satisfying dish combining fresh zucchini with creamy cheese, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium zucchinis, sliced
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh herbs (basil or parsley), for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sprinkle salt on the zucchini slices and let them sit for 15 minutes to draw out excess moisture. Pat dry.
  3. In a greased baking dish, layer the zucchini slices and a mix of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. If desired, top with breadcrumbs for a crunchy texture.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven until bubbly and lightly browned, about 30 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Allow to cool completely before storing. It can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
