Description

A flavorful dish that marries the richness of salmon with a bold spice blend to create a smoky, spicy crust.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper to create the spice blend.
  2. Coat salmon fillets evenly with the spice mixture.
  3. Heat the avocado oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Once hot, add the salmon fillets to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until blackened and cooked through.
  5. Let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.
