Description

Rich peanut butter bars topped with a glossy chocolate layer, perfect for parties or lunchboxes.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Stir in graham cracker crumbs until well combined.
  3. Press mixture into a lined 9 x 13-inch pan evenly.
  4. Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave with oil, stirring until smooth.
  5. Pour melted chocolate over peanut butter layer and spread evenly.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour until firm.
  7. Slice into squares and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free graham crackers. For a dairy-free option, use vegan butter and dairy-free chocolate.
