A rich and creamy butter chicken dish perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless chicken thighs
 - 4 tbsp unsalted butter
 - 1 cup heavy cream
 - 1 cup tomato puree
 - 1 tbsp minced ginger
 - 1 tbsp minced garlic
 - 2 tsp garam masala
 - 1 tsp cumin
 - 1 tsp turmeric
 - Fresh cilantro for garnish
 
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and finely chop the onions, mincing the ginger and garlic.
 - In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Add the seasoned chicken thighs and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.
 - Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet. Add the remaining butter and minced onions to the same pan; sauté until translucent.
 - Mix in the garlic and ginger, then pour in the tomato puree. Cook for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
 - Stir in garam masala, cumin, and turmeric; cook until fragrant.
 - Return the chicken to the pan, pour in the heavy cream, and mix gently. Simmer for about 10 minutes to meld the flavors.
 - Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro alongside rice or naan.
 
Notes
Serve with fluffy rice or warm naan. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to three days or frozen for three months.
