Description

A rich and creamy Butter Chicken dish with succulent chicken pieces simmered in a flavorful tomato-based sauce, perfect for family gatherings or weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, diced
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Salt, to taste


Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in yogurt and spices for a few hours or overnight.
  2. Sauté the marinated chicken in butter until golden brown.
  3. Add the crushed tomatoes and heavy cream to the pan.
  4. Simmer the mixture until it thickens and the chicken is fully cooked.
  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with rice or naan.

Notes

For added flavor, use fresh spices and consider substituting ghee for butter. Control the spice level according to your taste preference.
