Description
A bold and flavorful pasta dish combining savory steak and creamy rigatoni smothered in zesty Cajun spices.
Ingredients
- 12 oz rigatoni
- 1 lb steak (sirloin recommended)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook rigatoni in boiling salted water until al dente; drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning, then sear until browned on both sides and cooked to desired doneness.
- Remove steak from skillet and let rest. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Add heavy cream to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Stir in mozzarella cheese until melted and combined.
- Slice steak into strips and add to the sauce along with the cooked rigatoni. Toss to combine and heat through.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For the best texture, avoid overcooking the pasta. Cook the steak to medium-rare for optimal juiciness.
