Description

A comforting dish combining delicious seafood flavors with cheesy, buttery biscuits, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Fresh or frozen shrimp
  • 1 pound Crab meat (Imitation crab can be used)
  • 1 pound Fish fillets (Flaky varieties like cod or haddock)
  • 2 cups Frozen mixed vegetables (Fresh vegetables can be used)
  • 1 cup Heavy cream (Half-and-half can be used as a substitute)
  • 1 cup Chicken or seafood broth (Low-sodium preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • To taste Salt
  • To taste Pepper
  • 1 box Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix (Any similar biscuit mix can be used)
  • 2/3 cup Milk (Any variety or alternative)
  • 1/4 cup Melted butter (Can substitute with olive oil)
  • To taste Fresh parsley (Optional garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large pot, combine the shrimp, crab meat, fish fillets, and mixed vegetables.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and broth, and sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together and cook on medium heat until it starts to thicken.
  4. Prepare the Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix according to the package instructions. Combine with milk and melted butter.
  5. Pour the seafood mixture into a baking dish. Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Once done, let it cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, add Old Bay seasoning to the seafood mix. For a healthier option, use fresh vegetables and low-fat milk.
