Ingredients
- 1 pound Ground Chicken
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 2-3 pieces Jalapenos, diced
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Cilantro, chopped
- 1 piece Avocado, ripe
- 0.5 lime Lime Juice
- 1 pinch Salt for Guacamole
- Optional Buns or Lettuce Wraps for serving
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients to streamline the cooking process.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cilantro. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4-6 equal portions and shape into patties.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or grill over medium heat and add oil if desired. Cook patties for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheese on each patty and cover to melt.
- Prepare guacamole by mashing avocado with lime juice and salt in a separate bowl.
- Assemble burgers by placing patties on buns or lettuce wraps and topping with guacamole.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Adjust the level of heat by varying the amount of jalapenos used. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
