A fun and hearty dish combining cheeseburgers and French fries, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag (28 ounces) shoestring French fries
- 1/2 yellow onion, diced
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cheddar cheese soup
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 teaspoon pickle juice
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon dehydrated onions
Instructions
- Air fry the French fries according to package directions until crispy. Set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and diced onion until browned. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper, then drain excess grease.
- Reduce heat to medium, add cheddar cheese soup and cream of mushroom soup, mixing until smooth.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a 7×11 inch casserole dish and layer crispy French fries on top. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over fries.
- Bake for 10–15 minutes at 350°F until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, pickle juice, dehydrated onions, and black pepper until creamy.
- Pour the burger sauce over the casserole before serving.
Notes
For crispier fries, consider broiling them for a few minutes after baking. Add toppings like chopped tomatoes, pickles, or bacon for extra flavor.
