Description

A delightful dessert that combines gooey chocolate chip cookies with a creamy cheesecake filling, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp sour cream or Greek yogurt (optional)
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (or gluten-free baking blend for variation)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chunks or chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate preferred)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and optional sour cream or Greek yogurt until smooth and creamy to make the cheesecake filling.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add the flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chunks evenly throughout the dough.
  4. Divide the cookie dough into small balls and flatten each slightly. Place a spoonful of the cheesecake filling in the center and wrap the dough around it, sealing it completely.
  5. Place the stuffed cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12 to 15 minutes until golden around the edges.
  6. Allow cookies to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 to 5 days or freeze for up to a month. For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chunks.
