A hearty and comforting dish combining tender beef, creamy sauce, and gooey cheese, perfect for family dinners and potlucks.
Ingredients
- 8 oz egg noodles
 - 1 lb ground beef
 - 1 medium onion, chopped
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
 - 1 can cream of mushroom soup
 - 1/2 cup milk
 - 1 tsp salt
 - 1/2 tsp black pepper
 - 1 tsp dried oregano
 - 1 tsp dried basil
 
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
 - Cook noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
 - In a skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic over medium heat.
 - In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, noodles, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the shredded cheese.
 - Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil; mix well.
 - Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with the remaining cheese.
 - Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
 - Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
 
Notes
Feel free to substitute ground beef with turkey or plant-based options. For a gluten-free variant, use gluten-free noodles.
