Description
A delicious and easy dish that adds a fun twist to classic green beans with garlic and melted cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 pound (about 500 g) fresh green beans, ends trimmed off
 - 1 and 1/4 cups mozzarella, shredded
 - 1/4 cup olive oil
 - 2 tablespoons shredded fresh parmesan
 - 4 garlic cloves, chopped (or 1 tablespoon pre-minced garlic)
 - 3/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
 
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and spray a baking sheet with nonstick oil.
 - Spread the green beans out flat on the greased baking sheet, spacing them apart.
 - In a small bowl, mix olive oil, parmesan, garlic, salt, and pepper until combined.
 - Pour the oil mixture over the green beans and toss to coat evenly.
 - Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until the beans are bright and slightly crisp.
 - Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over the beans and return them under the broiler for 4 to 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
 - Transfer to a plate and enjoy while hot.
 
Notes
For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes to the garlic mixture. You can also experiment with different cheeses for added flavor.
