Description

Ingredients

  • 3 medium overripe bananas (about 1 1/2 cups mashed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter (or 1/3 cup neutral oil)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Mash the overripe bananas in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk in eggs, melted butter (or oil), and vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50–65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes
