Description

A fun and spooky dessert combining chocolate pudding and crushed cookies, perfect for Halloween celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 cups cold milk
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (12 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 package (14 oz) chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 1 bag gummy worms
  • Optional: candy pumpkins, candy eyes, sprinkles, gummy dinosaurs, or mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk the pudding mixes with cold milk until thickened. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator.
  2. Pulse the cookies in a food processor until finely crushed. Alternatively, crush them in a bag with a rolling pin.
  3. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping and then stir this mixture into the pudding.
  4. In a 9×13 dish or a trifle bowl, layer the crushed cookies and the pudding mixture, repeating until full. Finish with cookie crumbs on top.
  5. Before serving, add gummy worms, candy pumpkins, or any themed decorations you like.

Notes

For a fun presentation, serve in individual cups or a large bowl. Cover leftovers to keep fresh for 3 to 4 days.
