Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Jam or chocolate ganache for filling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until smooth.
- Gradually mix in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until a dough forms.
- Chill the dough for 15 minutes.
- Roll the dough into small balls and press your thumb (or back of a spoon) to create a well in each ball.
- Bake for 12 minutes until set.
- Fill the thumbprints with jam or chocolate ganache after letting them cool.
