Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • Jam or chocolate ganache for filling


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Gradually mix in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until a dough forms.
  4. Chill the dough for 15 minutes.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls and press your thumb (or back of a spoon) to create a well in each ball.
  6. Bake for 12 minutes until set.
  7. Fill the thumbprints with jam or chocolate ganache after letting them cool.
