- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 8 oz dark chocolate (60% cocoa)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 2 oz chocolate (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- Melt together the butter and dark chocolate until smooth.
- Whisk in the sugar, followed by the eggs, until well combined.
- Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt; mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes.
- Allow to cool before frosting with melted chocolate and powdered sugar.
