Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 8 oz dark chocolate (60% cocoa)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 oz chocolate (for frosting)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Melt together the butter and dark chocolate until smooth.
  3. Whisk in the sugar, followed by the eggs, until well combined.
  4. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt; mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool before frosting with melted chocolate and powdered sugar.
