A festive appetizer combining tangy cream cheese, sweet-tart cranberries, and crunchy toasted pecans, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- 16 oz (450 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1–2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3/4 cup chopped dried cranberries
- 3/4 cup finely chopped toasted pecans
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans for rolling
- A few whole cranberries for garnish
Instructions
- Bring cream cheese to room temperature.
- Beat cream cheese with sour cream, brown sugar, lemon zest, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Fold in chopped cranberries and half of the pecans.
- Shape mixture into a ball and chill for at least 2 hours.
- Before serving, roll the cheese ball in remaining chopped pecans and garnish with whole cranberries.
Notes
For best results, chill overnight. Serve with assorted crackers or sliced baguette.
