Description

Delightfully festive cupcakes decorated to resemble Christmas trees, perfect for holiday gatherings and gifting.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • Green food coloring
  • 1 cup buttercream frosting
  • Sprinkles (for decoration)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder. Gradually mix into the butter mixture, alternating with milk.
  5. Scoop the batter into the lined muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool.
  7. Once cooled, tint the buttercream frosting with green food coloring. Use a piping bag fitted with a star tip to pipe the frosting onto each cupcake, resembling Christmas trees.
  8. Decorate with sprinkles and let the frosting set.

Notes

Allow the frosting to chill if too soft for piping. Experiment with different toppings and decorations to personalize each cupcake.
