Description
Deliciously sweet Cinnamon French Toast Bites with a crispy outside and soft inside, perfect for breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
- 4 slices thick-cut bread (brioche or challah works best)
 - 2 large eggs
 - ½ cup (120ml) milk
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
 - 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for cooking)
 - ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar (for coating)
 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
 - 2 tablespoons melted butter (for drizzling)
 
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar.
 - Cut the bread into bite-sized cubes (about 1-inch pieces).
 - Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
 - Dip the bread cubes into the egg mixture, letting any excess drip off.
 - Place the coated bread cubes in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, turning them until golden brown and crispy.
 - Remove the French toast bites from the pan and immediately toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture, coating them evenly.
 - Drizzle with melted butter for extra flavor.
 
Notes
Serve warm with a sprinkle of powdered sugar and maple syrup or fresh fruit for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
