Description

Deliciously sweet Cinnamon French Toast Bites with a crispy outside and soft inside, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices thick-cut bread (brioche or challah works best)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup (120ml) milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for cooking)
  • ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar.
  2. Cut the bread into bite-sized cubes (about 1-inch pieces).
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Dip the bread cubes into the egg mixture, letting any excess drip off.
  5. Place the coated bread cubes in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, turning them until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the French toast bites from the pan and immediately toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture, coating them evenly.
  7. Drizzle with melted butter for extra flavor.

Notes

Serve warm with a sprinkle of powdered sugar and maple syrup or fresh fruit for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
