Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water (110°F/43°C)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup baking soda (for boiling solution)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (optional for brushing)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
- Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture and knead until smooth and elastic (about 5 minutes).
- Let the dough rise until it doubles in size, about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into bite-sized pieces.
- Boil a large pot of water with baking soda; boil pretzel bites for 30 seconds.
- Place boiled bites on a baking sheet, brush with melted butter, and mix cinnamon sugar for coating.
- Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Roll in cinnamon sugar while still warm.
Notes
Serve with a side of warm cream cheese or chocolate sauce for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
