Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt butter and sugar together over medium heat, stirring continuously.
- Cook the mixture until it reaches a golden-brown color and a temperature of 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Pour the toffee mixture onto a lined baking sheet and spread evenly.
- Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top and let them melt, then spread the chocolate over the toffee.
- Allow the toffee to cool completely before breaking it into pieces.
