Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin pan with paper liners.
  2. In one bowl, mix dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, combine wet ingredients: sugar, eggs, and butter.
  4. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. For the topping, mix butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon until crumbly.
  6. Layer half the batter into the muffin cups, add the topping, then finish with the remaining batter.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
