Description

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 5 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 cup milk, at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Non-stick spray for pan
  • Simple vanilla glaze (optional)
  • Halloween-themed sprinkles (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a Bundt pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in milk, vanilla extract, and pumpkin spice.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
  6. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing just until combined without overmixing.
  7. Divide the batter into portions and color each with food coloring.
  8. Layer the colored batter into the prepared Bundt pan, using scoops for definition.
  9. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  11. Drizzle with glaze and add sprinkles before serving, if desired.
