Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 5 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 cup milk, at room temperature
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
- Food coloring (various colors)
- Non-stick spray for pan
- Simple vanilla glaze (optional)
- Halloween-themed sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a Bundt pan with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in milk, vanilla extract, and pumpkin spice.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing just until combined without overmixing.
- Divide the batter into portions and color each with food coloring.
- Layer the colored batter into the prepared Bundt pan, using scoops for definition.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Drizzle with glaze and add sprinkles before serving, if desired.
Notes
Cake can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or wrapped and frozen for up to 3 months. Serve with ice cream for a festive touch.
