Ingredients
- 8 oz chow mein noodles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
- 1 cup carrots, julienned
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
- Sliced green onions (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions.
- While the noodles are cooking, prep your vegetables and sauce.
- In a hot skillet or wok, stir-fry the bell peppers, carrots, and broccoli in vegetable oil until crisp-tender.
- Drain the noodles, then add them to the skillet with the vegetables.
- Pour the soy sauce and minced garlic over the mixture and toss to combine.
- Allow the flavors to meld together for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve immediately, garnishing with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
For a heartier meal, add protein options such as chicken, shrimp, or tofu. Adjust seasonings to taste, and don’t overcrowd the pan while stir-frying.
