Description

A homemade version of Panda Express noodles, packed with vibrant flavors and fresh vegetables, ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz chow mein noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • Sliced green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions.
  2. While the noodles are cooking, prep your vegetables and sauce.
  3. In a hot skillet or wok, stir-fry the bell peppers, carrots, and broccoli in vegetable oil until crisp-tender.
  4. Drain the noodles, then add them to the skillet with the vegetables.
  5. Pour the soy sauce and minced garlic over the mixture and toss to combine.
  6. Allow the flavors to meld together for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve immediately, garnishing with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For a heartier meal, add protein options such as chicken, shrimp, or tofu. Adjust seasonings to taste, and don’t overcrowd the pan while stir-frying.
