Warm and comforting pumpkin custard that is a delightful treat perfect for fall.
Ingredients
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.
- Add in heavy cream and milk, whisking until well combined.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve for extra creaminess.
- Pour the custard into ramekins and place them in a deep baking dish.
- Fill the baking dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean with a slight jiggle in the center.
- Remove from oven and let cool, then refrigerate until serving.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature, topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Notes
For a unique flavor, try adding maple syrup or vanilla extract. Ensure eggs are at room temperature for a smooth custard.
