A rich and creamy pasta dish that’s quick and satisfying for any weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 12 oz cavatappi pasta
- 1 tablespoon salt (for pasta water)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil for garnish
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the cavatappi until al dente.
- In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly.
- Gradually add in the grated Parmesan cheese, whisking until the sauce is smooth.
- Once pasta is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water, drain pasta, and combine with the sauce.
- If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is achieved.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately.
Notes
Reserve pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency if needed. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
