Description

A rich and creamy dish featuring seared chicken in a garlic parmesan sauce, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, quantity as desired
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Butter, 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil, 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic cloves, 3-4, freshly minced
  • Heavy cream, 1 cup
  • Parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup finely grated
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, 2 tablespoons


Instructions

  1. Season the chicken generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add butter and olive oil.
  3. Sear the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Slowly pour in heavy cream while stirring, then whisk in the parmesan cheese until smooth.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, nestling it into the sauce. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked and the sauce has thickened.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes when cooking the garlic. You can substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu for a different version.
