Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, quantity as desired
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Butter, 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil, 1 tablespoon
- Garlic cloves, 3-4, freshly minced
- Heavy cream, 1 cup
- Parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup finely grated
- Fresh parsley, chopped, 2 tablespoons
Instructions
- Season the chicken generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add butter and olive oil.
- Sear the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Slowly pour in heavy cream while stirring, then whisk in the parmesan cheese until smooth.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, nestling it into the sauce. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked and the sauce has thickened.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes when cooking the garlic. You can substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu for a different version.
