Description
A quick and delicious creamy shrimp pasta dish featuring tender shrimp and a silky garlic-parmesan sauce.
Ingredients
- 12 oz pasta
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.
- Cook pasta until just shy of al dente; reserve 1 cup pasta water.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.
- Sear shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until opaque and firm; set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic and red pepper flakes for 30–45 seconds.
- Deglaze with white wine (if using), then add heavy cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Fold in pasta and shrimp, adding reserved pasta water as needed to achieve a silky consistency.
Notes
Dry shrimp thoroughly before cooking for a good sear; finish the sauce off the heat for smooth texture.
