Description

A delicious and easy breakfast casserole featuring fluffy eggs, savory sausage, and melted cheese wrapped in a crescent roll crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 package crescent roll dough (8 oz)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 8 oz breakfast sausage
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar recommended)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, chives, or thyme)
  • Diced jalapeños or crushed red pepper flakes for spice


Instructions

  1. Brown the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked and browned. Drain excess grease and set aside to cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Unroll the crescent roll dough, pressing seams together to form a solid crust covering the bottom and sides of the dish.
  4. Sprinkle cooked sausage evenly over the dough. Add a layer of shredded cheese and any veggies or herbs.
  5. Pour egg mixture evenly over layered ingredients, allowing it to soak in.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes until eggs are set and crust is golden brown. Let it cool slightly before serving.
