Description
A tantalizing combination of crispy chicken paired with a spicy-sweet bang bang sauce, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate chicken pieces in buttermilk, spices, and salt for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare a light batter using flour and seasoning.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) for frying.
- Dip marinated chicken pieces in the batter and then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sriracha, and honey to create the bang bang sauce.
- Toss fried chicken in the sauce until well coated.
Notes
For extra crunch, double dip in breadcrumbs. Adjust sriracha to your spice preference.
