Description

A tantalizing combination of crispy chicken paired with a spicy-sweet bang bang sauce, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken pieces in buttermilk, spices, and salt for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare a light batter using flour and seasoning.
  3. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) for frying.
  4. Dip marinated chicken pieces in the batter and then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sriracha, and honey to create the bang bang sauce.
  7. Toss fried chicken in the sauce until well coated.

Notes

For extra crunch, double dip in breadcrumbs. Adjust sriracha to your spice preference.
