Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Nori sheets
  • Avocado, sliced
  • Cucumber, sliced
  • Carrots, julienned
  • Oil for frying
  • Soy sauce, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook sushi rice according to package instructions until sticky.

  3. Fold the vinegar mixture into the warm rice and let it cool slightly.
  4. Prepare your fillings (avocado, cucumber, carrots).
  5. Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo mat, spread rice on top evenly, leaving a little space at the edges.
  6. Add your desired fillings in the center, then roll tightly using the bamboo mat.
  7. Heat oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F.
  8. Fry the rolls until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes per side.

  10. Slice with a sharp knife and serve immediately with soy sauce and spicy mayo.

Notes

Use short-grain rice for best results and ensure oil is properly heated for crispiness.
