Description
Crispy Pakoras are a delightful Indian snack made with fresh vegetables and a spiced chickpea flour batter, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 cups besan (chickpea flour)
 - 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
 - 1 teaspoon coriander powder
 - 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
 - Salt to taste
 - Water as needed
 - Vegetables of choice (potatoes, spinach, cauliflower, etc.)
 - Vegetable or sunflower oil for frying
 
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine besan, spices, and salt. Gradually add water to form a thick batter.
 - Dip vegetables into the batter, coating them thoroughly.
 - Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until hot.
 - Fry the batter-coated vegetables in small batches until golden and crispy.
 - Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
 
Notes
Serve with mint chutney, tamarind sauce, or yogurt. Pack in an airtight container for storage; can be frozen for longer preservation.
