Description

A fun and delicious dinner idea combining crispy tater tots and bold taco flavors, perfect for family nights and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Tater Tots (Bake them extra crispy for the best results.)
  • 1 lb Ground Beef (Season to taste for added flavor.)
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning (Homemade versions can elevate freshness.)
  • 1 Onion (diced) (Adds sweetness and aroma.)
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheese (Cheddar is great, but feel free to use your favorite.)
  • Toppings of Choice (Customize with pico de gallo, guacamole, lettuce, jalapeños, cilantro, sour cream, and hot sauce.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the package instructions. Spread the tater tots on a baking sheet and bake until they are extra crispy.
  2. While the tater tots are baking, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until soft. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Drain any excess fat, then add the taco seasoning. Follow the package instructions for adding water if needed. Stir well and cook for a few minutes until everything is mixed and heated through.
  4. Once the tater tots are crispy and the beef is ready, assemble your taco bowls with a layer of crispy tater tots, seasoned beef, and sprinkle on cheese.
  5. Allow everyone to customize their taco bowls with their chosen toppings.

Notes

For leftovers, store components separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat beef in a skillet and bake tater tots again for crispiness.
