Description
A fun and delicious dinner idea combining crispy tater tots and bold taco flavors, perfect for family nights and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 bag Tater Tots (Bake them extra crispy for the best results.)
- 1 lb Ground Beef (Season to taste for added flavor.)
- 1 packet Taco Seasoning (Homemade versions can elevate freshness.)
- 1 Onion (diced) (Adds sweetness and aroma.)
- 2 cups Shredded Cheese (Cheddar is great, but feel free to use your favorite.)
- Toppings of Choice (Customize with pico de gallo, guacamole, lettuce, jalapeños, cilantro, sour cream, and hot sauce.)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the package instructions. Spread the tater tots on a baking sheet and bake until they are extra crispy.
- While the tater tots are baking, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until soft. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Drain any excess fat, then add the taco seasoning. Follow the package instructions for adding water if needed. Stir well and cook for a few minutes until everything is mixed and heated through.
- Once the tater tots are crispy and the beef is ready, assemble your taco bowls with a layer of crispy tater tots, seasoned beef, and sprinkle on cheese.
- Allow everyone to customize their taco bowls with their chosen toppings.
Notes
For leftovers, store components separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat beef in a skillet and bake tater tots again for crispiness.
