Description
A warm and hearty dish combining beef, cheese, and fresh vegetables, slow-cooked to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Beef Sirloin
- 4 large Potatoes
- 1 medium Onion
- 1 large Green Bell Pepper
- 8 ounces Mushrooms
- 2 cups Provolone Cheese
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- to taste Salt and Pepper
- 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley
Instructions
- Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips.
- Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
- Chop the onion and green bell pepper into small pieces.
- Clean and slice the mushrooms.
- In the crockpot, layer half of the potatoes, followed by half of the beef, onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to taste.
- Add the remaining potatoes, beef, onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms in another layer.
- Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over everything.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- About 10 minutes before serving, sprinkle the provolone cheese on top and let it melt.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute beef with chicken or turkey and use cauliflower instead of potatoes.
