Description

A warm and hearty dish combining beef, cheese, and fresh vegetables, slow-cooked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Beef Sirloin
  • 4 large Potatoes
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 large Green Bell Pepper
  • 8 ounces Mushrooms
  • 2 cups Provolone Cheese
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • to taste Salt and Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley


Instructions

  1. Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips.
  2. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
  3. Chop the onion and green bell pepper into small pieces.
  4. Clean and slice the mushrooms.
  5. In the crockpot, layer half of the potatoes, followed by half of the beef, onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to taste.
  7. Add the remaining potatoes, beef, onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms in another layer.
  8. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over everything.
  9. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  10. About 10 minutes before serving, sprinkle the provolone cheese on top and let it melt.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute beef with chicken or turkey and use cauliflower instead of potatoes.
