Description

A cozy and hearty casserole made with ground beef, creamy potatoes, and savory seasonings, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium russet potatoes, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef with onions and garlic in a skillet; drain excess fat.
  2. Layer the uncooked sliced potatoes in the crockpot.
  3. Add half of the beef mixture on top of the potatoes.
  4. Spread cream of mushroom soup over the beef layer.
  5. Sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
  6. Add another layer of potatoes, followed by the remaining beef mixture.
  7. Top with the remaining potatoes and finish with the remaining cheese.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the potatoes are tender.

Notes

For best results, do not stir during cooking. Use russet potatoes for better texture and consider browning the meat for enhanced flavor.
