Description

A delightful twist on classic chocolate chip cookies, featuring the satisfying crunch of Rice Krispies.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or a mix of types)


Instructions

  1. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until incorporated.
  5. Fold in the Rice Krispies and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes if desired.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
