Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup minced meat or mixed vegetables
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • Oil for frying or baking


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in chilled butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Gradually add cold water, mixing until the dough forms. Chill for 30 minutes.
  3. In a skillet, sauté onions, garlic, and ginger until softened. Add minced meat or vegetables, curry powder, and cook until done. Let cool.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut into circles. Place a spoonful of filling on one half of each circle.
  5. Fold the dough over and seal tightly using a fork. Repeat until all dough and filling are used.
  6. Fry in hot oil or bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve with dipping sauces and enjoy!
