Spooky and fun cookies that combine rich chocolate flavor with playful decorations, perfect for Halloween parties.
Ingredients
- 1 box Devil’s Food Cake Mix
- 2 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Canola or Vegetable Oil
- 1 teaspoon Black Food Coloring (optional)
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter (softened)
- 3 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt (optional)
- 1-3 tablespoons Milk
- 1 teaspoon Green Food Coloring
- 1 cup Round Green Sprinkles
- 1 cup Candy Eyeballs
- 1 cup Pretzel Sticks
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the Devil’s Food Cake Mix, eggs, and canola or vegetable oil. Add black food coloring if desired.
- Stir the mixture until well combined.
- Use a spoon or cookie scoop to drop tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are firm. Let the cookies cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
- Gradually add in the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and milk, mixing well to reach your desired consistency.
- Add green food coloring and mix until fully incorporated.
- Once your cookies are cooled, frost them with the green buttercream frosting. Decorate with round green sprinkles, candy eyeballs, and place pretzel sticks on top.
- Serve these fun cookies on a festive platter.
