Description

Delightful mushroom and herb-filled puff pastry bites that impress with their flaky texture and savory flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups finely chopped mushrooms (cremini or shiitake)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (thyme, oregano)
  • 1 package puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a pan, sauté the mushrooms, onion, and garlic in olive oil until golden and fragrant.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool, then combine with cream cheese and herbs. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Unroll the puff pastry and cut into squares.
  5. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each square, fold, and seal the edges.
  6. Brush the tops with egg wash.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes
