Ingredients
- 1 lb Flank or Sirloin Steak, thinly sliced
- 1 medium Onion, yellow or white preferred
- 2 medium Bell Peppers, any color, sliced
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce, low sodium if preferred
- 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce, for deeper flavor
- 1-2 tsp Ground Black Pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp Cornstarch, to thicken the sauce
Instructions
- Slice the steak thinly and heat a skillet over high heat.
- Add 2 tablespoons of oil and quickly cook the beef until just barely pink, then remove it from the skillet.
- Add sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet, stirring until they gain color but remain crunchy.
- Whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, water, black pepper, and cornstarch in a small bowl.
- Pour the sauce into the pan, add the beef back, and cook for 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and clings to the meat and vegetables.
- Serve hot over steamed rice.
Notes
For best results, do not overcrowd the pan and keep the heat high for perfect searing.
