Smash Burger Tacos are a fun twist on traditional tacos, combining juicy burger flavors with the simplicity of taco wrappers.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Ground Beef (80/20)
- 6 pieces Flour Tortillas (Fajita size)
- 6 slices Sharp Cheddar Cheese or American Cheese
- 1/2 cup Mayo
- 3 tablespoons Ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Sweet Pickle Relish
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- Toppings (as desired: shredded lettuce, diced cherry tomatoes, onions, dill pickles, avocado, toasted sesame seeds)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, and paprika. Form 6 small patties.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once hot, place the beef patties in the skillet and smash them down with a spatula to create a crispy edge. Cook for about 3 minutes on one side.
- Flip the patties and place a slice of cheese on each patty. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- In a small bowl, mix mayo, ketchup, and sweet pickle relish to make the taco sauce.
- Warm the flour tortillas in a pan or microwave for a few seconds.
- Assemble the tacos by placing the cheesy patties on the tortillas, adding the taco sauce, and your choice of toppings.
Notes
Serve warm and let everyone customize their tacos. Store leftovers separately in airtight containers.
