Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet of active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup baking soda (for boiling)
  • Coarse sea salt (for topping)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast, letting it sit until bubbly.
  2. Add melted butter and salt to the mixture.
  3. Gradually mix in flour until a dough forms, then knead for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Preheat a pot of water with baking soda to a boil.
  7. Divide the dough into small pieces, shape into bites, then boil each in baking soda water for 30 seconds.
  8. Transfer boiled bites to the baking sheet and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy!

Notes

Serve with mustard, cheese sauce, or chocolate dip. Store in an airtight container and consume within three days.
