Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet of active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup baking soda (for boiling)
- Coarse sea salt (for topping)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast, letting it sit until bubbly.
- Add melted butter and salt to the mixture.
- Gradually mix in flour until a dough forms, then knead for 5-7 minutes.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Preheat a pot of water with baking soda to a boil.
- Divide the dough into small pieces, shape into bites, then boil each in baking soda water for 30 seconds.
- Transfer boiled bites to the baking sheet and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy!
