Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 to 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
- Optional: melted chocolate for dipping
Instructions
- Heat-treat the flour by baking it at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes or microwaving until it reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Cream the butter and sugar together until pale, about 2–3 minutes.
- Mix in the vanilla and salt, then gradually add the heat-treated flour until a soft dough forms.
- Fold in the rainbow sprinkles.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes until it firms up.
- Scoop and roll the dough into 1-inch balls (about 1 tablespoon each).
- Optionally, dip in melted chocolate or roll in extra sprinkles for a decorative finish.
