Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 2 tablespoons sushi vinegar
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup crab meat or imitation crab
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • Soy sauce, for drizzling
  • Spicy mayo, optional
  • Pickled ginger, for serving
  • Wasabi, for serving
  • Seaweed salad, for serving


Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Combine rice and water in a pot and cook until tender and sticky.
  3. Once cooked, let the rice cool in a wooden or plastic container.
  4. Prepare your fresh vegetables and toppings while the rice cools.
  5. Layer the cooled rice in a bowl with avocado, crab, and cucumber.
  6. Drizzle with soy sauce or spicy mayo and serve with pickled ginger and wasabi.
