Delicious and festive cookies perfect for Halloween celebrations, decorated with colorful frosting and sprinkles.
Ingredients
- 1 box Devil’s Food Cake Mix
- 2 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Canola or Vegetable Oil
- 1 tsp Black Food Coloring (optional)
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 2 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1-3 tbsp Milk
- 1 tsp Green Food Coloring
- 1/4 cup Round Green Sprinkles
- 1/4 cup Halloween Sprinkles
- 1/2 cup Candy Eyeballs
- 12 sticks Pretzel Sticks
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Devil’s Food Cake Mix, eggs, and canola oil. Mix until smooth.
- If desired, add the black food coloring and mix well until fully combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are slightly firm. Allow them to cool.
- While the cookies are cooling, prepare the frosting by mixing the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and milk until smooth.
- Divide the frosting into two bowls. Add green food coloring to one bowl for bubbling potion frosting.
- Frost the cookies with the black frosting and add the green frosting on top to create a cauldron effect.
- Decorate with round green sprinkles, Halloween sprinkles, and candy eyeballs on top.
- Stick a pretzel stick into each cookie to serve as stirring wands.
Notes
Let the cookies cool completely before frosting them to avoid melting. Use parchment paper for easy cleanup.
