Description

A simple and easy recipe for teriyaki chicken cooked in a slow cooker, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless chicken (breasts or thighs, frozen is okay)
  • 1.5 cups teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp honey (for glossiness)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced, optional)
  • 1 bunch green onions (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Place the frozen boneless chicken in the slow cooker.
  2. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken.
  3. Add a splash of honey and minced garlic if desired.
  4. Cover and cook on low for about 4 hours.
  5. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water and stir it in 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Tastes great with steamed white rice and stir-fried veggies. Leftovers can be used in salads, wraps, or soups.
